Our Solar Eco training workshop is a great option to gain knowledge and experience on roasting with the Solar Eco as well as how to maintain and clean your roaster. We tailor the course around you, no matter your prior roasting experience, to ensure you leave feeling more confident and excited to roast with the Solar Eco.
After booking a workshop with us, our Head of Coffee, Connor will arrange a call with you to discuss how we can best plan the course to meet your specific needs.
Some of the things we cover may include the following:
- Introduction into choosing the right green beans to roast with
- Machine operation / how to use your roaster
- How to profile your green beans
- How to alter each variable during the roasting process to acheive the result you are looking for
- Assessing each roast batch
- Cupping your roasts and altering profiles based on cupping feedback
- How to regularly maintain your machine plus more in-depth cleaning
- Advice on recommended ventilation requirements
This course typically lasts around 5 hours, depending on needs and is held at our roastery in Amble, Northumberland. It is highly recommended to book in advance to avoid missing out.

Solar Eco 2kg Training Workshop

Our workshops usually take place on Saturdays and can be ran in the morning or afternoon. Different days can be arranged, just get in touch with us!
