WHAT MAKES THE AILLIO BULLETS SPECIAL?
INDUCTION POWER
The most green and efficient way to generate heat from electricity is through induction, and the R2 series features Aillio's most powerful — and precise — induction modules yet.
​
The Bullet R2 Pro provides 14 progressive power steps up to 2300 watts, while the Bullet R2 offers 10 steps up to 1700 watts (compared to the classic Bullet R1 which offers 9 steps up to 1550 watts).
​
All three Bullet models deliver heat with remarkable precision, for repeatable results. The Bullet R1’s induction board is accurate up to +/-2%, while the Bullet R2 and R2 Pro are even more precise, with only a +/- 0.5% margin of error.
​
Crucially, thanks to the responsiveness of induction heating, any power adjustment made during a roast will not only be accurate, but also speedy — it’s a feeling akin to roasting with gas. This is because, unlike other electric coffee roasters, there are no heating elements. Instead, induction creates heat directly within the drum itself.

What does the R2 series have that the classic Bullet R1 doesn't?
​
The Bullet R2 and Bullet R2 Pro are packed with a number of new features and under-the-hood workflow improvements that users who roast frequently, or who demand greater precision, will love.
​
The key differences being:
​
More power -The Buller R2 has an additional stage of power (150W more than the R1) for shorter roast times on larger batch sizes. The Bullet R2 Pro packs an additional 5 power levels (750W more than the R1) giving the user the ability to roast coffee more quickly, with plenty of headroom to experiment with different approaches.
​
Higher capacity with the R2 Pro - Unlike the Bullet Classic R1 and the R2, The R2 Pro boasts a larger capacity of 1.2kg.
​
Flowsense - to maintain airflow stability. This is a particularly useful feature for long roasting sessions, when the chaff filter may be more easily clogged and affect the outcome of the roast on the Bullet R1 Classic model.
​
Chaff Filter Clean Alert - Control panel notifications altering you to clean/replace the chaff filter to ensure your roasts stay consistent and your machine doesn't become damaged from blocked airflow.
​
QuickClean Maintenance - All roasters require routine maintenance, and while it’s pretty easy to keep the Bullet R1 Classic clean, it’s much easier with the R2 and R2 Pro, thanks to a complete under the hood redesign of the control panel that includes magnetic assemblies for easy access to the IBTS.
​
Bean Deflector - No more stray beans running away from your cooling tray.
​
Hybrid Control Panel - More information, at higher resolution with the new OLED display.
​
Barometric Pressure Sensor - Another data point that is particularly useful for those roasting at higher altitudes.
​
Wi-Fi Support - Not available at launch, but definitely happening.
​
Personalized Sound - The Bullet R2 series speakers are much louder and clearer than the Bullet R1 Classic, with the ability to narrate the roasting process with customized sounds you can upload yourself.

Integrated Roasting Light - Far brighter than the Bullet R1 Classic’s USB light, our integrated roasting light really shines a spotlight on what’s happening in the drum.

Dust Filter for Electronics - Another nice to have feature that will keep your induction board happy and clean, no matter how “chaffy” your roasts get!​​​​
What does the Bullet R2 Pro have that the Bullet R2 doesn't?
​
The major difference here is the power and capacity — the Bullet R2 Pro is by far Aillio's most powerful roaster, and its maximum capacity of 1.2 kilograms is 20% more than both the Bullet R2 and the Bullet R1 Classic.
​
Although the key differentiator between the Bullet R2 Pro and the R2 is its raw power, it has a few other tricks up its sleeve, too.
​
It features a new cooling tray that is much more powerful than its predecessor — perfect for the extra 200 grams of batch capacity — and it includes an automatic bean stirrer for hands-free, even cooling.
​
In the future, it will also boast support for Control Area Networks, which means users will be able to set up automations with other machines. For instance, you could connect the Bullet to a vacuum cleaner, and have it automatically remove all chaff from the machine after the end of each roast.
