100% Convection Roasting
Typhoon Roasters offer the highest convection rates in the industry; the coffee essentially levitates during the roasting process, applying heat, evenly to all sides consistently before permeating the centre of the bean. This minimises contact with the metal drum and results in more stability, repeatability and even roasting.
 
Typhoon Roasters use stainless steel, which does not accumulate heat and quickly dissipates energy. Resulting in twice the productivity of a traditional conduction roaster. Whilst a traditional roaster manages about 3.5 batches per hour, a Typhoon roaster can complete 6. Also, the average roasting cycle with a Typhoon roaster is just 6 - 8 minutes, which is 30-40% faster than conduction roasters.
 
Energy-Saving Green Tech
Typhoon Roasters energy-saving technology is designed to make coffee roasting more sustainable and cost-effective. Their innovative technology is a patented heat transfer system with significant efficiency compared to traditional roasters. With less energy required to heat the coffee beans to roasted perfection, Typhoon roasters use up to 50% less energy than traditional drum roasters.
The roasters also operate at lower temperatures. Due to this energy consumption is reduced and the overall quality of the coffee roast is improved. More flavour is taken from each bean with fewer burnt defects and over-roasted flavours.
